Cambodia and Cuba have formalized efforts to enhance their tourism sectors through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, aimed at fostering bilateral cooperation, was signed by Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak and Milena Caridad Zaldívar Piedra, Cuba’s Ambassador to Cambodia, in Siem Reap province.
The MoU sets a framework for collaboration between the tourism authorities of both nations. It seeks to promote tourism development, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and extend Cambodia’s tourism reach into Latin American markets. This partnership is rooted in the principles of equality and mutual benefit, with the goal of creating new opportunities for tourism cooperation between the two countries.
Cambodia and Cuba have enjoyed a longstanding diplomatic relationship since 1960. This latest agreement is a testament to their enduring bilateral ties, further strengthening the connection between the two nations.
